Senior Engineer / Engineer – Material and Water Technology (Ref. 19029)
Duties The appointee will assist the Technical Manager/Project Coordinator to carry out R&D projects related to material modification, water & wastewater treatment, monitor the progress of different research projects and develop new R&D projects. S/he will be responsible for carry out research works, drafting reports, proposal & IP documents and providing training to engineers. Field work at sponsor’s designated sites may be required.
  • A MSc/MPhil or above in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Material Science, Food Engineering or related disciplines;
  • 5+ years' experience in R&D projects related to chemical synthesis or material modification or waste water treatment (ozone or MBBR technology etc.) is a must;
  • Solid experience in organic/inorganic material characterizations or water quality control or on site water sampling and testing are necessary;
  • Knowledge in food or textile production processing or waste water treatment system design will be an advantage;
  • Strong planning and organization ability;
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese;
  • Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, ability of literature and testing/industrial standard review are needed;
  • Good team player, self-motivated and ability to work independently;
  • Fresh MSc/MPhil candidates with less working experience will also be considered as Engineer if technically relevance.
Salary and Benefits Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Medical and dental benefits as well as annual leave will be provided. Appointment will be offered on a contract basis, renewable subject to mutual agreement and performance.
