Senior Engineer / Engineer – Photopolymer Synthesis (Ref.19014)
Duties The appointee will work on the development of photopolymer resin used for solder mask ink. He/she will be responsible for:
  • Designing photopolymer and developing synthetic route;
  • Applying the photopolymer to white solder mask ink;
  • Characterizing and testing at different process stages and evaluating the material performance;
  • Scaling up process for trial production;
  • Collaborate with other research staff on R&D work;
  • Liaison with industrial partners; and
  • Performing other duties assigned by supervisor.
  • Master or PhD degree or above in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science / Engineering or related field. Fresh graduate will also be considered;
  • Expertise in multiple characterization techniques: NMR, FTIR, DSC/TGA, GPC;
  • Prior experience on photopolymer synthesis, both laboratory and industrial scale, is an added advantage;
  • Knowledge on solder mask ink is a plus;
  • Good command of English and Chinese, articulate report writing/presentation skills as well as abilities in literature/patent search;
  • Hard-working and have a strong sense of ownership for his/her work is a must;
  • With good analytical and troubleshooting skills. Creative and passionate for innovation; and
  • Team work with good communication skills.
Salary and Benefits Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Medical and dental benefits as well as annual leave will be provided. Appointment will be offered on a contract basis, renewable subject to mutual agreement and performance.
