Senior Engineer / Engineer - Polymer Materials for Battery (Ref. 18061)
  • Develop combinations of solvents and binders for ink formulations of hybrid electrolyte for high quality printing process of solid state lithium ion batteries;
  • Develop, synthesize, and characterize the physiochemical properties of new polymer based hybrid electrolytes;
  • Understand the role of polymers, their effect on manufacturability, and performance characteristics of a battery;
  • Determine best techniques to attain the desired information on battery electrolytes containing polymeric constituents, additives and ionic liquids;
  • Interface with customers on different R&D collaborate projects for technical issue tackling and report preparation.
  • Master or PhD degree or above in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering or related field. Fresh graduate will also be considered;
  • Expertise in synthesis of organic/polymeric materials including inorganic-polymer composite design and synthesis, solvent interaction on a variety of polymer classes etc. Experience with polymer materials for lithium ion batteries such as gel electrolyte or liquid electrolyte is a plus;
  • Expertise in multiple characterization techniques: SEM, FTIR, DSC/TGA, TMA/DMA;
  • Good foundation in electrochemistry and electrochemical measurements (CV, EIS etc);
  • Attention to details, ability to work well individually and in team settings;
  • Strong verbal and written communication and solution oriented attitude;
  • Fluent in both Chinese and English, Mandarin is a plus.
Salary and Benefits Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Medical and dental benefits as well as annual leave will be provided. Appointment will be offered on a contract basis, renewable subject to mutual agreement and performance.
