Technical Manager / Project Leader – Polymer Synthesis and Adhesive Development (Ref. 18026)
Duties The appointees will be responsible for new polymer materials development for thermal management materials and lithium ion battery polymer electrolytes. His/her core duties include:
  • Incubate new polymer based materials related to thermal management, such as thermal conductive adhesives, thermal interface materials, phase change materials, etc.;
  • Another possible direction is the development of polymer solid electrolyte for lithium battery systems;
  • Build and lead a research team to implement the thermal management material related projects;
  • Build clients' accounts and manage strategic partnership. Expand collaboration network with electronic packaging materials industries;
  • Responsible for project incubation, project proposals, project milestones and reports/presentations; and
  • Responsible for ad hoc tasks assigned by supervisors; and
  • Any other duties as required.
  • PhD in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or related areas is required (research focus in Polymer materials is an advantage);
  • Solid R&D experience in adhesive or thermal interface materials development;
  • Strong academic experience in materials synthesis, characterization, and application;
  • 5 years or above post-graduation R&D experience in electronic packaging materials industries (Less experience will be considered as Project Leader);
  • Good troubleshooting skills, able to take initiatives and work independently;
  • Must have a sense of ownership for his/her work;
  • Positive, cheerful, creative, critical thinking;
  • Determined and able to lead a team of research staff;
  • Good people and communication skills; and
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
Salary and Benefits Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Medical and dental benefits as well as annual leave will be provided. Appointment will be offered on a contract basis, renewable subject to mutual agreement and performance.
