ASSISTANT / MARKET RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Duties The appointee will assist the head of the business team on market research, analysis and development; technology investment due diligence, incubation, commercial contract drafting and follow through on commercialization and client management.
Requirements A bachelor or higher degree preferably in business administration or science or engineering and a minimum of 8 years working experience in market research, investment and new market development; commercial contract drafting; experience in technology incubation, investment or licensing would be an advantage; a creative, meticulous and self-starter as well as team player; good interpersonal and communication and presentation skills; excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, particularly fluency in Putonghua; willing to work outside office hours and travel outside Hong Kong on business.

Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Manager.

MARKETING ASSISTANT
Duties The appointee will assist in the design, execution and performance tracking of marketing programmes and events, marketing database management, design and production of marketing materials both online such as website marketing content, e-newsletter and printed marketing materials; liaise with various trade associations and industry, market research and project incubation.
Requirements A bachelor or higher degree preferably in business administration or communication with a minimum of 5 years working experience in marketing field and experience in graphic design would be an advantage; attentive to details, creative, independent, willingness to learn, a proactive, organized attitude and ability to deliver high-quality work; proficiency in the design and production of marketing materials and client database analysis; basic knowledge of graphic design and proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator; good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, good communication and interpersonal skills.

ASSISTANT ADMINISTRATION MANAGER
Duties The appointee will be required to assist in the setting up of new project office(s) and laboratories; provide efficient administrative services and perform general administration functions including office administration, facilities management, procurement, inventory control, office equipments and company premises; assist in organizing and maintaining the filing system, and perform ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements A bachelor degree in any discipline; with 2- 3 years' relevant experience in sizable organizations, preferably government departments or public organization; a team player with a strong sense of responsibility, independent, good interpersonal and problem solving skills and able to work under pressure; high proficiency in MS Office application and Chinese word processing; good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua is a plus).

Manager, Technology Commercialization (Ref. 001)
Duties The appointee will assist the head of the business team on the incubation and commercialization of new technology ˇV to be responsible for the development of market-driven product specifications; to lead the product engineering of new technologies; managing product costs; the companyˇ¦s product roadmap and to oversee the planning, implementation, monitoring and the transfer of technology to industry.
Requirements A bachelor or higher degree preferably in science or engineering and a minimum of 8 years hands-on experience in product design, engineering and production of high quality products and in managing the transfer of new products onto production lines; experience in component sourcing or quality assurance or compliance to international regulatory standards would be beneficial; knowledge in the renewable energy or solid-state lighting or construction industry would be an advantage; a creative, meticulous and self-starter as well as team player; good interpersonal and communication and presentation skills; excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, preferably fluency in Putonghua; willing to work outside office hours and travel outside Hong Kong on business.

Technical Manager/Assistant Technical Manager

Duties The appointee will conduct in-house R&D projects; participate in external R&D projects funded by NAMI; prepare R&D project proposals; work with industry through the NAMI industrial consortium; development of market-driven technology specifications; leading the product engineering of new technologies; managing technology roadmap and to oversee the planning, implementation, monitoring and the project milestones as well as performing any other duties as assigned.
Requirements A PhD degree in any science or engineering disciplines; project management experience preferred; a successful track record of conducting R&D projects; experience in the key material application in photovoltaic, energy saving or solid-state lighting industries preferable; good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua advantageous; ability to work independently; good interpersonal skills; and willingness to work outside normal office hours and travel outside Hong Kong. Substantial experience in performing industrial projects is required for the post of Technical Manager.

Duties The new appointee will develop new materials formulation/development, qualification and production phase in optical product systems for clean energy; supervise on overall engineering aspects and project management of the research team. He/She will also be responsible for material sourcing and product development based on project timeline; handle mechanical design, product specification and trouble shoot production processing; liaise with customers and suppliers independently and evaluate product performance; problem solving on manufacturing processes for targeted product performance and reliability on prototype development. Handle other related duties.
Requirements Degree in related engineering/science plus minimum 8 years experience in research design & development; MPhil/PhD degree holder preferred. Appointee must be familiar with optical materials/coating/thin film manufacturing process and characterization in larger scale production. Familiarity with CAD and optical simulation software is a plus. Applicants must possess strong analytical skills, good interpersonal/communication skills with engineering management experience. May be required to travel.

Duties The new appointee will develop new materials formulation/development, qualification and production phase in optical product systems for clean energy, collaborate with suppliers to ensure materials selected and chemical formulations developed are process-able to meet the desired optical, thermal, physical and chemical properties; identify suitable technology to grow organic revenue; introduce/participate in new product development by establishing requirements, identifying solutions, creating product performance requirements and ensuring testing methodologies to complete product introduction; establish right metrics and measurements for the team by translating market requirements into short- and long-term technology solutions; conceptualize detailed system design, prepare engineering documentation, supervise the R&D team and system assembly/debug; ensure products meet specifications on, performance, reliability, materials and other specified data; generate breakthrough technologies and creative ideas in relevant area and work with IP -Counsel on invention disclosures.
Requirements Degree holder in related engineering/science plus minimum 10 years experience in research & development; Master/PhD degree preferred. Applicants must be competent in fundamental principles and materials science including optical coatings and glass materials. Experience on project management, prototype building and product quality assurance as well as material technology application on manufacturing processes will be required. Strong analytical skills with good sense of research direction based on market needs. Must have business acumen to implement right engineering solutions with good interpersonal/communication skills. May be required to travel.

Duties The appointee will design and develop new optical materials for clean energy, perform material sourcing and product development, handle mechanical design, product specification and trouble shooting on production processing; liaise with customers and suppliers independently and evaluate product performance and handle related duties.
Requirements Bachelor/Master/Doctoral degree in related engineering/science with experience in product design & development preferred; Knowledge on optical materials/coating/thin film manufacturing process and characterization as well as experience on prototype building and product quality assurance based on materials technology and statistical analysis required. Experience on engineering project management preferred while familiarity with manufacturing processes of optical materials, CAD and optical simulation software will be a plus. Research Associate (Ref. KWW)
Duties Preparation of polymeric and biopolymeric nanostructures for biomedical applications by using wet chemistry technique/self-assembled deposition/electrochemical deposition, and materials characterization.
Requirements A master's degree or above in chemistry, material science or related discipline is required. Hands-on experience on electrochemistry is preferred. Should be experienced and familiar with materials characterization techniques, e.g. SEM, TEM, PL, XPS, and etc.

Research Associate/Visiting Scholar (Ref. KKM2)
Duties The appointee will assist in laboratory works of R&D projects, including designing and building experimental facilities, carrying out experiments, investigating properties and testing performances, such as preparing and characterizing polymers, especially in the fields of coating and painting. The appointee will also help to draft project reports and IP documents.
Requirements A master's degree or above in chemistry, material science or related discipline is required, and organic chemistry, macromolecular chemistry or material science is preferred. Basic knowledge and technique of polymer preparation and performance investigation, such as coating fabrication, surface modification, mechanical property test of polymers, are necessary. Technical operation of dipping/spraying/brushing for surface coating is prior to considering. Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, ability of paper and patent searching, and drafting patents in English are also required.
