• Hands-on experience with nanocrystal fabrication and knowledge in thin film characterization is required;
• Hands-on experience with semiconductor fabrication and knowledge on optoelectronic characterization is required, Experience with LED light and photocurrents measurements is preferred;
• Knowledge on process flow for device fabrication and layout pattern design is preferred; Familiar with pattern drawing tools, L-edit or Cadence, is preferred;

Broad knowledge and techniques of polymer syntheses and performance investigation, such as free radical / living polymerization, surface energy modification, and mechanical properties measurement, are necessary. Experience on photopolymer syntheses and clean room is prior to consider. The appointee will conduct R&D work on nanophosphor converted LED project. Key responsibilities include making nano/micro-patterns on the LED chips to enhance the color conversion efficiency and light efficacy of the LED device, developing methods to test the LED devices.

• A Master or Ph.D. Degree in Materials Science, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines;
• Hands-on clean room operation experience is required;
• Hands-on nano-lithography experience is required;
• Hands-on experience for LED packaging is strongly preferred;
• Hands-on experience in thin film materials systems and technology is preferred;

Key responsibilities include assessing the performance of antibacterial coating on surfaces, establishing and organizing testing facilities, developing methods for bacterial characterizations, standardizing procedures for bacterial testing and collaborating with hospital staffs on R&D work.

• A Master or Ph.D. Degree in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology or related disciplines;
• Hands-on experience with cell culture and bacterial characterization is required;
• Experience on clinical microbiology is preferred;
• Ability to work independently and good communication skills;
• Good command of English and Chinese;
• Five years working experience on bacterial characterization is required for the rank of Senior Research Engineer.

The appointee will establish strategic directions and execute plans for technological development and transfer in nanotechnology and advanced materials of the medical & healthcare products market sector; manage and monitor all ongoing R&D projects related to medical & healthcare; build relationship with local and overseas experts and industrial partners to bring expertise and initiate projects for NAMI; build partnerships with industries, academia and the government; manage commercialization of project deliverables; lead the technical personnel of the R&D Centre; and assist the Chief Executive Officer in his managerial responsibilities.

Degree holder, preferably PhD, in any science and engineering disciplines; at least 10 and preferably 20 years of experience in senior technical management and business development experience in the medical & healthcare product industries; demonstrated ability to initiate, implement and manage R&D programs; acumen for advances and trends in nanotechnology and advanced materials; awareness of the technical capacity and research strengths of local and regional industries and universities; excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Putonghua advantageous; and outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills.
