BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (MARKETING)

Duties

The appointee will assist in business development for new technology and commercialization; conduct market research; be responsible for customer segmentation and drive targeted programs for each segment; design, execute and monitor performance of marketing programmes and exhibitions; produce online and printed marketing materials; manage marketing database; liaise with various trade associations and industry.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s or higher degree, preferably in marketing and business administration; a minimum of 5 years’ work experience in business development or marketing, preferably in a technology company;  good commercial negotiation or marketing skills and experience; a creative, meticulous self-started and team player; good interpersonal and communication and presentation skills; excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua advantageous; willing to work outside normal office hours and travel outside Hong Kong.

 

TECHNICAL MANAGER / TECHNICAL OFFICER

Duties

The appointee will conduct in-house R&D projects; monitor external R&D projects funded by NAMI; prepare R&D project proposals; work with industry through the NAMI industrial consortium; and perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

A PhD degree in any science or engineering disciplines with a minimum of 3 years’ working experience; a successful track record of conducting R&D projects; good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua advantageous; ability to work independently; good interpersonal skills; and willingness to work outside normal office hours and travel outside Hong Kong.  Substantial experience in performing industrial projects is required for the post of Technical Manager.

 

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (Ref No.: NAMI/RA/03/08)

Duties

The appointee will assist in the laboratory work of R&D projects including chemistry and physics experiments.

Requirements

A recognized PhD degree in chemistry, materials science or related disciplines, organic chemistry and polymer chemistry preferred (The target is to develop anti-corrosion base-coating on metal or plastic products and anti-scratch surface-coating on metal.); knowledge of and training in chemistry and physics experimentation; good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; ability to conduct prior art searches and draft patent applications.

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (Ref. No.: NAMI/RA/02/08)
 

Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in R&D on polishing slurries.

Requirements
A PhD degree in materials science and engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry or physics; hands-on experience in colloid and surface chemistry; knowledge of magnetic colloid fluid and/or polishing systems a plus.

Salary and Benefits
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Medical and dental benefits as well as annual leave will be provided. Appointment will be offered on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to mutual agreement and performance.
